Monthly fees – With Petcube you can also opt for a Petcube care plan that will upgrade your service with additional features such as extra cloud storage & discounts on various pet care companies.

You can opt for 3 different plans which are Basic, Optimal and Premium.

While the Basic plan is free, with Optimal and Premium option you can extend cloud storage to a 3-day of video history for $5.99 per month, or cloud storage of up to 90 days coming at $14.99 monthly.

Whereas Furbo features the Furbo Dog Nanny, which gives you 24 hours event-based cloud recording, smart alerts, and a doggie diary, amounting to $6.99 / month or $69 / year.

Alexa – The new Petcube 2 also features a built-in Alexa, meaning that you won’t need to have an Alexa-enabled device in order to take advantage of voice control features.

While Furbo does work with Alexa, it doesn’t come with the voice assistant built-in and requires a third party speaker.

Design – In terms of the design, Petcube Bites 2 is a little bit bulkier than the Furbo. With dimensions of 5.7 x 3 x 10.6 inches, vs. Furbo’s 5.91 x 4.72 x 8.86 inches.

Field-of-view – When it comes to the field of view, Petcube 2 has the advantage with its 180-degree ultra-wide-angle lens camera feed allowing it to see a lot more than Furbo’s 160-degree viewing angle.

Triggered Video Recordings & Cloud Storage – Additionally, Petcube 2 also has an edge with its 4 hours of free cloud storage, and the inclusion of triggered video recordings without having to opt for a subscription plan.

While with Furbo you’ll need to opt for the Furbo Dog Nanny in order to not miss any relevant video activity

Smart Dog Alerts – It’s true that both models offer Smart Dog Alerts feature, however, they do differ from each other.

With Petcube Bites 2, you’ll be able to receive more accurate alerts, since it can easily recognize barking and meowing among other sounds and even tell the difference between pets and people due to its advanced AI technology.

While Furbo similarly is able to detect dog-related activities, such as when your pet is playing or jumping on the furniture. 

Additionally, with Furbo, the camera will also take a picture when your pet is facing the camera, sending you adorable photos of your furry friend when you’re away from home.

Network – Lastly, when it comes to network compatibility, Furbo only supports a 2.4GHz WiFi network while Petcube is compatible with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
