Installation – When it comes to the installation, Lyric T5 isn’t overly complicated and is designed for DIY setup, while Honeywell Lyric T6 Pro requires professional installation.

Ventilation – While Honeywell Lyric T5 has no support for Universal Relay (U terminals) for ventilation, Lyric T6 Pro does come with the ability to control ventilation equipment with ERV/HRV as well as a damper.

Design – In terms of color, Lyric T5 thermostat comes in a black tone, while the T6 model comes in white.

Dual Fuel – For a dual fuel system, the Lyric Pro 6 has an advantage since it offers compatibility with most dual-fuel systems, which Lyric 5 lacks.

Wired Sensors – In terms of the wired sensors, Honeywell Lyric T5 offers no universal Input support for indoor or outdoor sensors, whereas T6 Pro comes with an S/S terminal for either conventional and heat pump systems.
