eufyCam vs. eufyCam E  — What’s Different?

eufycam

Zoom – Eufy Cam includes an impressive x8 digital zoom technology that will allow you to take a closer look at a potential intruder or a license plate via the live feed, while eufyCam E lacks this security feature.

Motion Detection & Facial Recognition – The main difference between eufyCam and eufyCam E, is that eufyCam includes advanced motion detection as well as facial recognition software.

So with eufyCam, you can receive much more accurate alerts with its ability to differentiate between people, cars or objects, and it can differentiate between faces, saving the familiar ones, as well as the new unrecognizable ones too.

Unfortunately, eufyCam E doesn’t come with any facial recognition software and uses a standard motion detection technology.

However, it’s worth mentioning that if you wish to have the advanced motion detection feature for your eufy cam E, you can do so with the optional eufy cam HomeBase addition.

IP Rating – An IP rating informs you how much your camera can handle based on weather conditions like rain.

This is where eufyCam comes ahead with its increased rating of IP67 making it more ‘dust tight’, compared to eufyCam’s E IP65.

So if you tend to experience heavy rainfalls or storms where you live, then eufyCam’s IP67 rating should suffice.

Design – While both models are aesthetically pleasing, they do differ in design.
Eufy Cam sports larger dimensions of 4.2″ x 2.2″ x 2.2″, compared to cam’s E 1.9″ x 0.8″ x 1.5″ smaller, more compact size.
