Blink XT vs. XT2 — What’s Different?

Custom Motion Zones – with Blink XT2 you can set custom motion zones in order to keep an eye on high-risk places such as the front door, or garage after which you’ll be notified when activity is detected.

While Blink XT doesn’t come with this type of technology, thus lacking the extra layer of security.

Two-Way Audio – Have a chat with your neighbor, or ward off a potential intruder with Blink’s XT2 two-way audio technology which allows you to communicate with any who’s outside or inside your home.

Unfortunately, Blink XT2 doesn’t support this feature but does come with a mic that allows you to use Alexa.

Live-View on Demand – Additionally, Blink XT2 also offers almost double the seconds of use compared to Blink XT2 when using the live-view on-demand or motion-activated recordings. Allowing you to record and share twice as much footage with Blink XT2 when compared to Blink XT.

Battery – Blink XT2 also boasts a more advanced battery life, which increases its usage to up to two years more than Blink XT.

Appearance – There is only a slight difference in the design of Blink XT and XT2.

The Blink logo at the bottom of the center plastic is a lighter grey tone on the Blink XT2, and there’s also an XT2 brand logo on the back battery cover too.
